Better Fairs mean big rewards
Multiple-Fair Reward
After your first Fair, sales at each additional Fair* will earn 10% extra Scholastic Dollars. Fairs must be held between August 1, 2023 and July 31, 2024.
Earned as rewards, Scholastic Dollars are applied to the same balance as your Fair profits, though they expire in six months (unless you hold another Fair within seven months, which extends your rewards until seven days after the second Fair). But don’t worry—when you redeem Scholastic Dollars, amounts with an expiration date are automatically redeemed first.
Check your Scholastic Dollars balance for specific expiration dates for each reward amount. Scholastic Dollars earned as Fair profit will appear in your balance after your Fair’s payment is finalized.
Bonus incentives
Get a Scholastic Dollars bonus just for promoting and shopping your school’s Fair. At your upcoming Fair, complete three out of the four activities below to earn 100 Scholastic Dollars. Double your rewards when you complete all four—that’s 200 extra Scholastic Dollars for your school!
Send a principal letter
Ask your school’s principal to sign a ready-to-send letter to families with key info about your school's Fair. Find it in the Promo Guide.
Promote eWallet friends-and-family sharing
Use these handy resources to remind families that anyone can contribute to their student’s eWallet, boosting Fair participation and sales.
Recruit a co-host
Divvy up the hosting duties—and share the Bookjoy!—when you ask a colleague, a school parent, or another volunteer to help you prep and run the Fair. Visit Fair Details and settings to enter your co-host’s name and email.
Shop the Fair with Scholastic Dollars
Before your Fair is picked up, use Scholastic Dollars to stock school and classroom libraries or fulfill teacher and student wish lists. Just select “Scholastic Dollars” as the tender type in the Payment System.

Your school can earn Scholastic Dollars as profit from your Fair’s sales or as rewards. Your school’s account balance combines both of these amounts. Profit from your Fair earned as Scholastic Dollars does not expire, but rewards expire six months after your Fair’s start date—unless you hold another Fair within seven months, which extends your rewards until seven days after the Fair end date. Be sure to report any purchases with redeemed rewards within those seven days. We can’t reissue expired rewards, but when you redeem Scholastic Dollars, amounts with an expiration date are automatically redeemed first.
See your Scholastic Dollars balance in the Host Hub for specific expiration dates for each reward amount. Scholastic Dollars that you earn from a Fair will appear in your balance after your Fair’s payment is finalized.
*This incentive is not available for Tabletop Fairs or Book Fairs based in Alaska. Scholastic Dollars earned for this bonus incentive will be added to your account after you've submitted your Financial Form. Rewards may expire six months from the date they were issued. Please check your Scholastic Dollars balance to view expiration dates for your school’s fall and/or spring Fairs.
